[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 산청군이 글로벌 외국인 커뮤니티와 연계한 체험형 관광 프로그램을 운영하며 외국인 관광객 유치 확대에 나섰다.

군은 지난 16일 부산 기반 외국인 커뮤니티 ‘HIBA(Hidden Busan Adventures for Foreigners)’ 회원들을 초청해 황매산과 동의보감촌을 연계한 특별 관광 프로그램을 진행했다고 18일 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램에는 미국·영국·프랑스·러시아·스페인·태국 등 11개국 외국인 20명과 한국인 15명 등 총 35명이 참여했다. 참가자들은 황매산 산행과 동의보감촌 전통 한방 체험 등을 함께하며 교류하는 시간을 가졌다.

특히 단순 관광이 아닌 지역 문화와 자연을 함께 경험하는 ‘관계형 관광(Relationship Tourism)’ 방식으로 운영돼 지역 체류형 관광 콘텐츠 가능성을 높였다는 평가다.

참가자들은 황매산 등반을 통해 한국 산행 문화를 체험했으며, 동의보감촌에서는 왕뜸 체험 등 한방 웰니스 프로그램에 참여해 전통 치유문화를 경험했다.

산청군은 참가자들이 체험 후 SNS와 글로벌 커뮤니티를 통해 산청 관광 콘텐츠를 소개함에 따라 해외 관광 홍보와 재방문 유도 효과도 기대하고 있다.

군 관계자는 “앞으로도 글로벌 커뮤니티와 연계한 체험형 관광 콘텐츠를 확대해 외국인이 다시 찾고 머무르는 관광 기반을 구축해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
