대구보건대, 군위 어린이날 행사서 영양교육 체험부스 운영

【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희) 군위군 어린이·사회복지급식관리지원센터는 지난 5일 군위생활체육공원에서 열린 ‘군위군 어린이날 큰잔치’에 참여해 어린이와 군민 500여 명을 대상으로 영양교육 체험부스를 운영했다.

이번 프로그램은 군위군청과 협력해 어린이들의 채소·과일 섭취 인식을 높이고 편식 예방을 통한 건강한 식습관 형성을 돕기 위해 마련됐다.

센터는 ‘영양사와 함께하는 튼튼성장교실 – 매일 채소·과일 먹기’를 주제로 다양한 체험형 프로그램을 진행했다. 현장에서는 ▲채소·과일 섭취의 중요성을 알리는 영양교육 ▲스티커를 활용한 ‘튼튼 부채 만들기’ ▲가정에서 채소를 키울 수 있는 ‘한 컵 새싹 농장’ 키트 제공 ▲교육용 활동지 및 콩나물 볼펜 배부 등 어린이 눈높이에 맞춘 활동이 이어졌다.

특히 놀이와 체험을 결합한 프로그램을 통해 어린이들이 채소와 과일에 대한 친밀감을 자연스럽게 형성하고, 일상 속 건강한 식습관으로 이어질 수 있도록 구성돼 큰 호응을 얻었다.

최민아 군위군 어린이·사회복지급식관리지원센터장은 “어린이들이 쉽고 즐겁게 채소와 과일의 중요성을 이해하도록 기획했다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 연계한 맞춤형 영양교육을 통해 군민 건강 증진에 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 대구보건대학교 산학협력단은 군위군과 협약을 통해 해당 센터를 위탁 운영하며, 어린이와 노인을 대상으로 식생활 교육과 위생·영양 관리 지원을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다.

The Gunwi Children and Social Welfare Food Service Management Support Center of Daegu Health College (President Nam Seong-hee) participated in the "Gunwi County Children's Day Grand Festival" held at Gunwi Life Sports Park on the 5th, operating a nutrition education experience booth for approximately 500 children and county residents.

This program was organized in cooperation with the Gunwi County Office to raise children's awareness of vegetable and fruit consumption and to help form healthy eating habits by preventing picky eating.

The Center conducted various hands-on programs under the theme "Healthy Growth Class with a Nutritionist – Eat Vegetables and Fruits Every Day." On-site activities tailored to children's interests included: nutrition education highlighting the importance of vegetable and fruit intake; "Making Healthy Fans" using stickers; provision of "One Cup Sprout Farm" kits for growing vegetables at home; and distribution of educational activity sheets and bean sprout pens. In particular, the program received a great response as it was designed to naturally foster a sense of familiarity with vegetables and fruits among children through a combination of play and hands-on experience, leading to healthy eating habits in their daily lives.

Choi Min-ah, Director of the Gunwi-gun Children and Social Welfare Food Service Management Support Center, stated, "We planned this program so that children could easily and enjoyably understand the importance of vegetables and fruits," adding, "We will continue to contribute to promoting the health of county residents through customized nutrition education in collaboration with the local community."

Meanwhile, the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Daegu Health University operates the center under consignment through an agreement with Gunwi-gun and is continuously promoting dietary education and hygiene and nutrition management support for children and the elderly.
