글로벌광주방송은 지난 11일 강진군문화관광재단과 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고, 양 기관의 자원을 적극적으로 공유하기로 뜻을 모았다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 글로벌광주방송이 보유한 특화된 외국어 방송 플랫폼과 우수한 콘텐츠 제작 역량을 바탕으로, 강진군의 숨겨진 문화·관광 자원을 세계에 알리고 주민과 관광객, 이주민 등 다양한 계층을 아우르는 공공 소통 기반을 마련하기 위해 추진됐다.

특히 글로벌광주방송은 영어, 중국어, 베트남어 등 다국어 방송과 디지털 플랫폼을 적극 활용해 강진의 매력을 국내외에 알리는 교두보 역할을 수행할 예정이다. 또한, 실무 협의를 통해 공동 프로젝트를 지속적으로 발굴하여 지역 축제의 글로벌 경쟁력을 높이고 관광 활성화를 도모한다는 계획이다.
