문자를 가진 민족은 불멸(不滅)한다. 문자의 창제는 창조적인 것 가운데 가장 독창적(獨創的)이랄 수 있다.
한글은 세종대왕이 창제한 것으로 전해진다. 훈민정음(한글)은 세종대왕이 창제했다. 훈민정음은 1443년에 창제돼 1446년 반포됐다.

한글은 어려운 한자 대신 쉽게 배우고 쓸 수 있도록 만든 창조적인 산물이다. 자음 17자, 모음 11자 총 28자로 구성된 한글은 과학적 원리를 바탕으로 한 독창적 문자이다.
유네스코(UNESCO)는 지난 1989년 '세종대왕상'을 제정했다 한글의 가치를 높이 평가한 것이다.
필자는 브레이크뉴스 발행인으로서 지난 5년 전부터 한글 기사-정보를 구글 영문벅역으로 번역, 기사의 말미에 첨부해왔었다. 이런 가운데 느낀 것은, 한글 원문에 비해 영문 번역문이 아주 길다는 사실을 알게 됐다. 한글의 과학성을 시시각각 느끼며 살고 있다.
속보성 사회에서 과학적인 한글을 사용하는 한민족의 부상(浮上)은 예견돼 있다고 생각한다.
