【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자= 충북도는 13일 도청 영상회의실에서 이동옥 행정부지사 주재로 ‘돔구장 건립 TF 2차 회의’를 열고 정책연구과제 결과를 공유하는 한편 향후 추진 방향을 논의했다.
이날 회의에는 문화체육관광국과 정책기획관, 투자유치과, 체육진흥과 등 도 관계부서와 청주시 스포츠콤플렉스건립 TF, 충북연구원 및 충북개발공사 관계자 등이 참석했다.
충북연구원이 발표한 ‘돔구장의 경제적·사회적 파급효과 분석’ 결과에 따르면, 돔구장 건립 시 건설 단계에서만 생산유발효과 1조 4,099억 원, 부가가치 유발효과 5,463억 원, 취업유발효과는 6,382명에 이를 것으로 전망됐다.
이러한 전망치는 운영 단계 효과를 제외한 수치임에도 불구하고 문화·관광 활성화 및 도시 브랜드가치 제고 등 사회문화적 파급효과가 클 것으로 분석됐다.
이동옥 행정부지사는 “오송에 돔구장이 입지할 경우 국가경쟁력에 기여하는 시설이자 아시아에서 가장 접근성이 뛰어난 돔구장이 될 수 있다”며 “충북에 돔구장을 유치하는 것은 SK하이닉스를 유치하는 것과 맞먹는 경제적 효과를 가져올 수 있는 만큼 산업유치 수준의 전략적 관점에서 돔구장 건립을 검토해야 한다”고 강조했다.
충북도는 향후 ▲자문위원회 구성 및 운영 본격화 ▲범도민 공론화 단계적 추진 ▲중앙정부 공모사업 대응 전략 수립 등을 추진할 계획이다.
