이날 전달된 온누리상품권은 총 1억1,000만원 규모로, 대구·경북 지역 소외계층 1,100세대에 배분될 예정이다. 지원 대상은 대구 9개 구·군을 비롯해 경북 주요 거점 도시까지 포함해, 지역 금융기관으로서의 역할을 강화한다는 방침이다.
이번 기부는 단순 현금 지원을 넘어 전통시장 전용 화폐인 온누리상품권을 활용함으로써, 취약계층의 명절 장보기 부담을 덜고 동시에 전통시장 소상공인의 매출 증대에 기여하는 ‘상생의 선순환’ 구조를 도모했다는 점에서 의미를 더한다.
