청와대가 13일 "이재명 대통령이 겨울철 산불 진화 담당 기관 산림청·산림항공본부·산림항공관리소 등 관계자들에게 손목 시계 등 기념품·간식을 전달했다"고 전했다.
김남준 대변인은 이날 오후 서면 브리핑에서 "대통령은 취임 직후부터 '지나친 게 부족한 것보다 100배 낫다'며 산불에 대한 압도적 초기 대응을 여러 차례 강조해 왔다"며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 "산림청 등 관계 기관들은 산불 발생 30분 내 초동 대응 목표로 산불 초기 단계부터 헬기를 신속 투입하기 위해 협력해 왔다"며 "그 결과 이번 겨울철 산불 진화를 위해 누적 투입된 헬기는 총 384대로 전년 동기 151대 대비 2.5배 증가했다"고 했다.
또 "이번 겨울철 동안 산불은 251헥타르 범위에 걸쳐 총 95건이 발생했다"며 "이는 전년 69건 대비 1.3배 증가한 수치"라고 밝혔다.
