브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 현대백화점이 중국 최대 명절인 춘절을 앞두고 애플페이를 도입하는 등 싼커(散客·중국인 개별 관광객) 맞이에 적극 나선다.
현대백화점은 중국 최대 카드사인 유니온페이와 손잡고 오는 14일부터 전국 백화점과 아울렛 모든 점포에 중국인 고객을 대상으로 모바일 간편결제 서비스인 ‘애플페이’를 도입한다고 13일 밝혔다.
유니온페이는 중국 내에서 애플페이 서비스를 제공하는 업체로, 국내 백화점 중 유니온페이와 손잡고 애플페이를 공식 도입하는 건 현대백화점이 처음이다.
이에 따라 현대백화점을 방문한 중국인 고객은 실물 카드 없이도 애플페이를 사용해 결제할 수 있게 된다. 현대백화점은 애플페이 도입을 기념해 내년 1월까지 애플페이로 결제하는 중국인 고객들에게 최대 12% 할인 혜택을 제공한다.
현대백화점은 애플페이 도입을 시작으로 유니온페이와의 협력을 확대할 계획이다. 유니온페이는 중국에서 애플페이뿐 아니라 화웨이페이와 샤오미페이 등 다양한 모바일 결제 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 현대백화점은 이르면 6월 화웨이페이와 샤오미페이를 추가로 도입해 중국인 고객의 모바일 결제 선택지를 확대할 예정이다.
현대백화점은 올 상반기 중 더현대 서울 6층에 K뷰티와 K패션을 소개하는 전용 팝업 공간을 마련하고, 싼커들을 대상으로 퍼스널컬러 분석, 티셔츠 커스텀 등 다양한 체험 프로그램도 운영할 계획이다.
현대백화점 관계자는 “춘절 연휴를 앞두고 싼커의 한국 방문이 증가할 것으로 예상된다”며 “이들이 해외 여행 때 주로 사용하는 맛집 정보 앱과 항공·숙박 예약 앱 플렛폼에 현대백화점의 이색 팝업, F&B 매장 등을 소개해 쇼핑 정보 접근성을 제고해 나갈 계획이다. 앞으로도 현대백화점에서만 즐길 수 있는 차별화된 쇼핑 경험을 제공할 수 있도록 외국인 고객들을 대상으로 한 서비스와 인프라를 강화해 나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
