Yangju City Arts Troupe to Hold 2026 New Year's Concert… "Yangju, Blooming Together" with Two Citizens' Choirs
This concert will feature the Yangju Dulhana Choir and the Yangju Lake Choir, presenting the largest choral performance since the founding of the Yangju City Arts Troupe.
[Break News Yangju=Reporter Kim Wan-young] Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, will host the "2026 Yangju City Arts Troupe New Year's Concert" at 5:00 PM on March 14th at the Gyeonggi Textile Support Center (1215 Pyeonghwa-ro, Yangju-si).
Under the theme "Yangju, Blooming Together," this New Year's Concert aims to convey the excitement and hope of a new season to citizens by capturing the lyricism of spring and the vibrant energy of music.
The first part of the concert features delicate interpretations by conductor Ji Hyun-jung of the Yangju City Choir, featuring Korean folk songs like "Camellia Love" and "Wind and Spring," conveying feelings of calm longing and hope.
This performance will feature the Yangju Dulhana Choir and the Yangju Lake Choir, creating the largest choral performance since the Yangju City Arts Troupe's founding. The harmonious blend of professional and local voices promises a warm and moving experience.
The second part, accompanied by commentary by conductor Kwon Seong-jun of the Yangju City Symphony Orchestra, features dynamic yet elegant performances of Berlioz's "Roman Carnival Overture" and Strauss II's "Emperor Waltz," creating a musical rendition of a splendid spring day.
In the third part, all the performers join together to sing of the love for everyday life through "Beautiful Rivers and Mountains" and "Beautiful Country," marking the end of the concert with a warm resonance.
The concert is free to all Yangju residents aged 6 and older. Advance reservations will be available on a first-come, first-served basis through Naver Reservations starting at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 13th. Details can be found by scanning the QR code on the poster.
