충남도가 재가 발달장애인 가정의 돌봄 부담을 줄이기 위해 추진해 온 장애인 복합형 보호시설이 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다. 주간 보호와 단기 거주 기능을 한 공간에 결합한 형태로, 도내에서는 처음 마련된 사례다.
도는 29일 부여군 규암면 내리 일원에 조성한 장애인 주간·단기 복합형 보호시설의 준공식을 열고 시설 운영을 공식화했다. 해당 시설은 1398㎡ 부지에 지상 2층, 연면적 1023.25㎡ 규모로 건립됐으며, 장애인의 일상 돌봄과 긴급 보호를 동시에 제공할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
