(나주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전라남도농업기술원은 농업의 신산업화를 선도할 창의적 인재 양성을 위해 ‘2026년 농업인 교육과정 운영계획’을 확정하고, 오는 2월부터 본격적인 교육에 나선다고 밝혔다.
올해 교육은 총 109개 과정, 2,670명을 대상으로 진행되며, 교육생의 편의와 학습 목적에 따라 단기교육(1~3일) 85개 과정과 장기교육(1~2년) 24개 과정으로 세분화해 추진된다.
총 85개 과정으로 구성된 단기교육은 현장의 목소리를 반영해 실용성을 높였다. 주요 교육 분야는 ▲품목별 생산기술 중심의 스마트농업기술교육 ▲가공·6차산업을 위주로 하는 융복합농업교육 ▲귀농인·청년농·여성농 등을 대상으로 하는 귀농·귀촌교육 ▲최신 마케팅기술 학습을 위한 스마트팜·정보화교육 ▲무인 자율농업기계 중심의 첨단농기계교육 등으로 구성됐다.
특히, 스마트농업기술교육은 교육 대상자의 이해도와 현장 활용도를 높이기 위해 단계별 심화 학습 체계를 강화한 것이 특징이다.
1~2년간 운영되는 장기교육은 전남농업마이스터대학, 전남생명농업대학, 농업경영자과정 등 총 24개 과정이 개설된다. 순천대, 목포대, 전남도립대 등 지역 대학과 협력해 농작물 생산부터 가공, 유통, 마케팅까지 세부 분야별 전문 교육을 제공한다. 장기교육 신입생은 1~2월 중 모집하며, 2~3월부터 본격적인 수업을 시작할 예정이다.
