개인 기부자들의 정성도 줄을 이었다. 가평읍에서 ‘국밥 참 맛있는 집’과 ‘빡센민물장어’를 운영하는 이린경 씨는 지난 20일 가평읍 행정복지센터를 찾아 성금 100만 원을 기탁했다. 6년 전 가평으로 이주한 이 씨는 “지역에서 받은 도움을 취약계층 아동들에게 돌려주고 싶었다”고 전했다.

같은 날, 가평읍 주민 김성극 씨도 행정복지센터를 방문해 매월 5만 원의 정기 기탁을 약속했다. 서울에서 직장 생활을 하다 가평이 좋아 퇴직 후에도 정착했다는 김 씨는 “우리 지역 아이들에게 작은 보탬이라도 되고 싶어 정기 기탁을 결심했다”고 말해 훈훈함을 더했다.
