(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전라남도교육청이 AI 시대를 맞아 학생들의 깊이 있는 사고력을 측정하고 성장을 돕는 평가 혁신에 박차를 가하고 있다.
도교육청은 지난 20일 나주에서 관내 교원들을 대상으로 ‘2025. 서·논술형 학생평가 연수(심화편)’를 개최했다. 이번 연수는 지난해 12월 열린 1차 연수의 후속 과정으로, 교사들이 평가 전문성을 실제 현장에 적용할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
이번 심화 연수에서는 단순한 지식 암기 확인이 아닌, 학습 경험을 통합적으로 평가할 수 있는 구체적인 방법론이 다뤄졌다. 주요 내용은 ▲채점기준표 개발 지침 및 성취 수준 진술 방법 ▲학습자에게 가이드라인을 제공하는 ‘학습용 루브릭’ 개발 ▲평가의 신뢰도와 공정성 확보 방안 등이다.
강연자로 나선 충남대학교 김선 교수는 “교사가 정교한 채점기준표(루브릭)를 개발하는 것이 평가 신뢰도의 핵심”이라며, “평가는 단순한 점수 산출을 넘어 학생에게 명확한 학습 방향을 제시하고 실질적인 성장을 기록하는 도구가 되어야 한다”고 강조했다.
전남교육청은 향후 AI 채점 시스템 도입을 통해 서·논술형 평가의 가장 큰 숙제였던 교원의 업무 부담을 줄이고, 평가의 객관성을 한층 높일 계획이다. 이를 통해 전남형 글로컬 미래교육의 핵심인 ‘사고력 중심 교육’을 완성한다는 구상이다.
김병남 유초등교육과장은 “이번 과정은 교실에서 즉각 활용 가능한 실천 중심 연수”라며 “강화된 평가 전문성은 학생의 사고를 확장하고 그 과정을 의미 있게 기록하는 전남 미래교육의 강력한 동력이 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.
도교육청은 이번 연수의 성과가 현장에 지속적으로 확산될 수 있도록 체계적인 사후 관리에도 나선다. 연수 이수자들은 2026학년도 ‘학생성장중심평가연구회’ 회원으로 활동하며, 서·논술형 평가 모델 연구와 현장 보급을 이끄는 핵심 요원으로 활약하게 된다.
