점검반은 각 업소를 방문해 성매매 불법 알선 가능성과 성매매 피해자가 있는지 여부를 확인했다. 또한 '성매매방지 및 피해자보호 등에 관한 법률'에 따라 성매매 방지 게시물이 규격과 내용에 맞게 부착되었는지 꼼꼼히 살폈다.
이번 합동점검은 성매매에 대한 경각심을 높이는 데 중점을 두고 계도 위주로 진행됐으며, 현장에서 발견된 경미한 위반 사항은 즉시 개선 조치됐다.
시 관계자는 "앞으로도 민·관·경 협력을 강화해 성매매 없는 건강한 지역사회를 만들겠다"며 "성매매 근절과 피해자 보호를 위해 적극적으로 대응해 나갈 것"이라고 말했다.
