[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시와 부산디자인진흥원이 지역 디자인 산업의 글로벌 경쟁력 강화를 위해 차세대 디자이너 발굴과 육성에 나선다.
부산시는 '부산-굿(Busan-Good) 디자이너 글로벌 역량강화 지원' 사업에 참여할 디자이너를 오는 8월 13일까지 모집한다고 밝혔다.
이 사업은 지역에서 활동 중인 우수 디자이너들에게 세계적 수준의 디자인 교육과 해외 선진 사례 체험 기회를 제공함으로써 디자인 감각을 높이고, 지역 디자인 산업의 지속 가능한 성장 기반을 마련하기 위해 추진된다.
주요 프로그램으로는 ▲글로벌 교육기관의 디자인 교육 참여 ▲선진 디자인 벤치마킹 ▲맞춤형 역량강화 교육 ▲국제 공모전 출품 지원 등이 포함된다.
특히, 세계적인 디자인 교육기관인 '이탈리아 코펜하겐 인터랙션 디자인 연구소(CIID)' '핀란드 알토대학교(Aalto University)'와 협력해 글로벌 워크숍과 현지 체험 프로그램을 운영한다.
CIID는 인터랙션 디자인 분야에서 국제적으로 권위 있는 교육기관으로, 실무 중심의 커리큘럼과 디자인·기술 융합 교육을 통해 혁신적인 디자이너를 양성해 왔다. 참가자는 시장 창출형 서비스 디자인 교육, 런던 디자인 페스티벌 참여, 이탈리아 현지 디자인 스튜디오 방문 등을 통해 선진 디자인 환경을 직접 체험할 수 있다.
알토대학교는 예술, 기술, 비즈니스가 융합된 북유럽 최고 수준의 종합대학으로, 공공서비스 디자인과 지속가능성 분야에 강점을 가지고 있다. 참가자는 서비스모델 디자인 교육과 유럽 최대 규모 스타트업 네트워킹 행사인 SLUSH 참관, 현지 주요 기업 방문 등을 통해 지속 가능한 디자인 역량을 기를 수 있다.
이외에도 최신 기술 동향과 글로벌 디자인 트렌드를 반영한 맞춤형 교육, 국제 공모전 출품 지원, 성과 발표회 및 지역 디자이너 간 네트워크 구축도 함께 추진될 예정이다.
이번 사업은 부산시에 주민등록이 되어 있고, 최근 3년 이상 부산에서 디자인 분야에 종사한 경력이 있는 디자이너라면 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 8월 13일까지 부산디자인진흥원 전자우편(infokyung@dcb.or.kr)으로 신청하면 된다.

고미진 부산시 미래디자인본부장은 “이번 지원사업을 통해 지역의 신진 디자이너들이 세계적 수준의 역량을 갖춘 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”며 “세계디자인수도 부산 2028의 위상에 걸맞은 차세대 디자인 리더를 육성해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Applications open until August 13 for 'Busan-Good Designer Global Competency Enhancement Program'
Busan City and the Busan Design Promotion Agency are launching a new initiative to foster and support the next generation of designers, aiming to enhance the global competitiveness of the local design industry.
The city announced that it is now accepting applications for the 'Busan-Good Designer Global Competency Enhancement Program', with the application deadline set for August 13.
This program is designed to provide outstanding local designers with opportunities to experience world-class design education and overseas best practices. It aims to enhance their design capabilities and establish a sustainable foundation for the long-term growth of Busan’s design industry.
The program includes: ▲Participation in global design education programs ▲Benchmarking of advanced design practices ▲Customized capacity-building training ▲Support for participation in international design competitions
In particular, the initiative features collaboration with world-renowned design institutions such as the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) in Italy and Aalto University in Finland. These partnerships will offer global workshops and on-site training programs.
CIID is a globally recognized institution in the field of interaction design, known for its practical, industry-focused curriculum and education that integrates design and technology. Participants will engage in activities such as market-oriented service design training, attendance at the London Design Festival, and visits to local design studios in Italy to experience cutting-edge design environments firsthand.
Aalto University, one of the leading universities in Northern Europe that integrates art, technology, and business, has a strong focus on public service design, sustainability, and design for socially disadvantaged groups. Participants will receive training in service model design, attend SLUSH, Europe’s largest startup networking event, and visit major local companies to build sustainable design skills through both education and hands-on experience.
Additional components of the program include tailored training reflecting the latest technological trends and global design movements, support for submitting entries to international competitions, and opportunities to share results and build collaborative networks among local designers.
Eligible applicants must be registered residents of Busan and have at least three years of professional experience in the design field within the city. Applications must be submitted via email to the Busan Design Promotion Agency (infokyung@dcb.or.kr) by August 13.
