이날 회의에는 손병복 군수를 비롯해 박형수 국회의원, 김재준 도의원, 울진군의회 의원, 국·실·과장 등 40여 명이 참석해 내년도 국비 예산 확보 전략을 집중 논의했다.
울진군이 이번 협의회에서 중점 건의한 주요 사업은 ▲울진 원자력 대용량 청정수소 생산클러스터 조성 ▲영덕삼척 간 고속도로(남북10축) 건설 ▲울진권역 국가어항 정비 ▲국립 울진산림생태원 조성 ▲중부권 동서횡단철도(서산울진) 건설 등이다.
울진군과 박형수 의원은 이들 사업이 정부 부처 예산안 심의 초기부터 반영될 수 있도록 국회와 지자체 간 공조 체계를 강화해 나가기로 뜻을 모았다.
박형수 의원은 “울진은 탄소중립과 에너지 전환의 국가 전략 중심지로 성장할 충분한 여건을 갖췄다”며 “중앙정부가 울진에 적극 투자할 수 있도록 국비 확보에 끝까지 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
손병복 군수는 “국비 확보는 지역의 미래를 결정짓는 열쇠”라며 “울진의 대전환을 이끌 핵심 프로젝트들이 차질 없이 추진되도록 박 의원과 함께 중앙부처를 적극 설득해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
울진군은 이번 협의회를 계기로 전략사업 예산 확보를 위한 로드맵을 구체화하고, 실무 대응 체계를 보다 정교하게 운영할 계획이다.

Uljin County and Assemblyman Park Hyung-soo agreed to strengthen the cooperative system between the National Assembly and local governments so that these projects can be reflected from the early stage of the government budget review.
Assemblyman Park Hyung-soo said, “Uljin has sufficient conditions to grow into a national strategic center for carbon neutrality and energy transition,” and “I will do my best to secure national funds until the end so that the central government can actively invest in Uljin.”
