(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=호남권 최대 산업전시회인 ‘2025 광주미래산업엑스포’가 25일 오후 김대중컨벤션센터에서 개막식(사진)을 갖고 나흘간 여정에 들어갔다.
이번 엑스포는 국내외 270여개 기업이 참여해 총 570개 부스를 운영하며 미래 산업의 최신 기술과 제품을 선보인다.
강기정 시장은 “이번 엑스포는 광주가 공들여 육성해온 미래모빌리티, 가전·로봇, 드론·뿌리산업 등 최첨단 미래산업의 성과를 한자리에서 확인할 수 있는 뜻깊은 전시회”라며 “앞으로 이재명 정부가 추구하는 AI융합 미래모빌리티 혁명시대 흐름에 맞춰 광주를 대한민국 대표 미래모빌리티 도시로 육성하도록 빈틈없이 준비하겠다”고 말했다.
강 시장은 또 “올해 엑스포는 ‘AI융합 모빌리티 기술테크(Tech) 전시회’로 구성돼 혁신기업들의 신제품과 기술 동향을 확인할 수 있다”며 “이를 통해 기업 유치와 지역산업 성장의 기반을 마련하고자 한다”고 강조했다.
개막행사에 이어 참석자들은 전시장에 마련된 주요 기업의 전시 부스를 둘러보며 첨단기술을 체험했다. 특히 현대차와 기아가 참여한 기술테크관에서는 차세대 소프트웨어 중심공장(SDF) 구축의 핵심요소인 AMR·MPR(물류 모빌리티 로봇) 기술과 수요자 맞춤형 차량(PV5) 및 수직이착륙 UAM(미래항공모빌리티) 모형기 등이 전시돼 큰 관심을 끌었다.
전시 기간에는 대한무역투자진흥공사(KOTRA)와 중소벤처기업진흥공단 광주지역본부가 공동 주관하는 수출상담회가 함께 열려 지역 우수 참가기업의 국내외 판로 개척을 지원한다.
시민들을 위한 체험 콘텐츠도 다양하게 마련됐다. ▲자율주행차 시승 ▲드론축구 ▲3D프린팅 체험 ▲로봇 요리 시연 ▲EV차량 전시 등 전 연령층이 즐길 수 있는 콘텐츠가 운영된다.

부대행사로 26일에는 청년·중장년·경력단절여성의 일자리박람회인 ‘2025 광주 함께 JOB 페스타’가 열리며, 28일에는 전국 최대 규모의 로봇경진대회와 과학 인플루언서 허성범 씨의 AI 특별강연이 예정돼 있다.
