【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)은 2026년도 예산에 시민들의 의견을 반영하기 위해 ‘주민참여예산 편성 설문조사 및 공모’를 진행한다고 4일 밝혔다.
‘주민참여예산제’는 예산 편성 과정에 시민이 직접 참여해 교육 재정 운영의 투명성과 민주성을 높이는 제도로, 학부모와 학생은 물론 대구 교육에 관심 있는 누구나 참여할 수 있다.
설문조사는 6월 5일부터 7월 11일까지 대구시교육청 및 각급 학교 누리집 팝업창과 QR코드를 통해 참여할 수 있으며, ▲대구교육재정 방향, ▲예산 편성 우선순위, ▲희망 사업 등 총 22개 문항으로 구성돼 있다.
이와 함께 6월 말까지는 ‘주민참여예산사업 공모 집중 기간’으로 지정돼, 시민이 직접 제안하는 교육 사업을 공모한다. 공모는 대구시교육청 누리집(로그인 후 ‘주민제안사업 공모방’)을 통해 온라인으로 접수하거나, 우편 또는 팩스로도 참여할 수 있다.
접수된 의견은 관련 부서 검토와 주민참여예산위원회 심의 과정을 거쳐 9월까지 반영 여부가 결정되며, 이후 시의회 심의와 의결(10~12월)을 통해 2026년도 예산에 최종 반영된다.
참여자 중 추첨을 통해 60명에게는 1만 원 상당의 소정의 상품도 제공된다.
대구시교육청은 지난해에도 102건의 주민 제안을 받아 이 중 ▲학교폭력 예방 조치 강화, ▲초등돌봄교실 지원 확대, ▲독서·인문교육 강화 등 82건을 선정해 총 4,209억 원의 예산을 반영한 바 있다.
강은희 교육감은 “교육의 주체인 학생과 학부모, 시민이 직접 예산 제안에 참여함으로써 모두가 함께 만들어가는 대구교육이 될 수 있다”며 “많은 시민의 관심과 참여를 바란다”고 전했다.
