내가 쓴 ‘진심(眞心)의 정치인 윤석열, 불사(不死)의 존재로 남는다’는 글에 대하여, 존경하는 유창종 선배께서 다음과 같은 댓글을 달았습니다. 그는 서울지검장을 역임한 분으로, 지금의 한국 사회에서 손가락에 꼽을만한 대표적 사표(師表)의 한 분입니다.

-윤석열 대통령이 헌법재판소에서 탄핵이 인용될 가능성은 국민들의 그에 대한 지지율과 비슷할 것으로 생각됩니다. 50%를 육 하는 그의 지지율은 그만큼 탄핵이 기각될 가능성이 높음을 예고하고 있습니다.

-사실 민주당으로서 최악의 상황은 지금의 민주당 대선후보 가 선거 기간 중에 형사 판결이 확정 되어 후보 자격을 상실하는 경우입니다. 그렇게 되면 국민의 힘 후보가 누구이든 자연스럽게 당선 될 것입니다. 설혹 민주당 후보가 대선에서 당선 되더라도 취임 초기 형사 판결이 확정되어 대선을 다시 치러야 할 가능성도 적지 않습니다.
-아직도 이처럼 불확실한 상황 속에서 저는 큰 역사의 흐름이 바른 방향으로 흘러갈 것으로 믿고 있습니다.■“
유창종 선배의 말씀 중에서 “저는 아직도 수사 절차가 진행되는 과정에서 정의 실현을 위해 결단하고 도전하는 법률가가 나타날 것을 기대하고 있습니다.”에 주목합니다.

역사적으로 나라가 위급한 상황에 처할 때 반드시 영웅이 나타나는 법입니다. 그는 범인(凡人)을 훌쩍 뛰어넘는 커다란 지혜와 용기를 발휘하여 나라를 구합니다. 차은경 판사가 지금 한국을 지배하는 압도적 세력에 맞서 헌법에 따라 오로지 법과 양심에만 의거하여 부디 이 역할을 맡아주기를 고대합니다.
그럴 때 탄핵정국은 전혀 다른 국면으로 접어들게 됩니다. 그리고 역사의 물줄기가 극적으로 바뀝니다. 아, 그 감격의 순간이 우리들 눈앞에 곧 나타나기를 고대합니다.
