경북개발공사, ESG 경영 확산을 위한 MOU 체결

【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도개발공사(이하 공사, 사장 이재혁)는 지난 24일 공사 회의실에서경상북도탄소중립지원센터, 탄소중립기술원과 탄소중립 및 ESG 경영 확산을 위한 협업체계 구축을 목표로 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 26일 밝혔다.

공사에 따르면 이번 협약은 지역 기업의 ESG 경영 역량 강화와 지속 가능한지역사회를 조성하기 위한 첫걸음으로, 기후위기 대응과 탄소중립 실현을위한 구체적인 협력 방안을 마련하는 데 의미가 있다

지역기업 ESG 경영 도입과 실행을 위한 진단과 컨설팅 제공, △ESG 관련 교육프로그램 개발 운영, 지역기업의 탄소중립 목표달성을 위한 기술지원, ESG 경영 추진 관련 공동연구 및 프로젝트 지원을 비롯한 탄소중립과 제반 사항에 협력하기로 했다.

공사 이재혁 사장은 "이번 협약을 통해 공사는 지역 기업이 기후위기에 선제적으로 대응할 수 있도록 실질적인 지원을 아끼지 않을 계획이다.”라며 “앞으로도 공사는 재생에너지와 친환경 기술 도입, 그리고 지역 기업 지원을 통해 지속 가능한 발전을 도모하며 탄소중립 실현의 중심에서 역할을 다할 것”이라고 말했다.

경상북도개발공사를 포함한 MOU 체결 기관과 기업은 먼저 공고를 통해 선정된 지역의 민간기업 2곳을 대상으로 각종 교육과 컨설팅 및 지속가능경영보고서 작성을 지원할 계획이다.

The organizations and companies that signed the MOU, including Gyeongsangbuk-do Development Corporation, plan to first provide various training and consulting services and support the writing of sustainable management reports to two private companies in the region selected through public notice.
