[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시는 지난달 8일부터 5000번, 6000번 등의 태그리스 스티커가 부착된 차량에 비접촉식 요금결제 시스템을 시범 도입해왔다.

태그리스 시스템은 시내버스 승·하차시 교통카드 단말기에 교통카드나 스마트폰의 접촉 없이 승객의 탑승과 동시에 자동으로 요금이 결제되며 환승을 위한 하차까지 자동으로 적용되는, 대중교통의 하이패스라고도 불리는 차세대 대중교통 요금 결제 시스템이다.

시는 올해 11월 8일에 5000번, 6000번 등의 노선에 태그리스 시스템을 시범 도입한 후, 시스템 안정화와 반응성 개선을 중점으로 품질개선을 해 태그리스 서비스를 시행하고 있으며 발견된 개선사항을 지속적으로 보완해 2025년에는 창원시 전 시내·마을버스에 구축해 운영할 계획이다.
