청도군, 미국 최대 규모 한인마트와 수출확대 MOU체결

이날 협약식에서는 청도군 우수 농특산물의 안정적 공급과 유통 및 판매 노하우를 활용한 상품 유통채널 확보를 통해 미주지역 청도군 농특산물 수출확대를 위해 상호 협력하기로 약속했다.

미국 H마트는 권일연 회장이 1982년 설립한 미국 내 최대 한인마트로미국지역 96점포, 캐나다, 영국 등 해외를 포함하면 127점포를 운영 중이며, 연매출 규모는 21억 달러를 상회하여 한화 기준 약 3조 원에 가까운 매출을 기록하고 있다.

현재 미주지역에는 청도군의 대표 농산물인 팽이버섯, 새송이버섯, 느타리버섯 등 버섯류를 비롯하여 전국 제일의 씨 없는 떫은 감 청도반시와 감말랭이를 포함한 감 가공품, 기타 식혜류 등이 수출되고 있다.

김하수 청도군수는 “이번 미주 최대규모의 한인마트인 H마트와의 수출확대를 위한 업무협약을 통해 청도군의 명품 농특산물이 국내를 넘어 해외시장 판로개척으로 기존 수출품목의 물량 확대와 신규 품목 수출로 이어져 농가소득 활성화와 안정화에 적극 기여할 것으로 기대된다.”라고 말했다.
