(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남도교육청은 지난 21일 모로코 라바트 교육부 국가연수포럼센터에서 ‘모로코 교육정보화 지원사업’을 3년 연장하는 내용의 업무협약을 체결했다.
전남교육청은 이러닝 세계화 사업의 하나로, 지난 2021년부터 모로코 교원 연수, PC 100대 지원 등 교육협력국 교육정보화 지원사업을 운영해 오고 있다.
이러닝 세계화 사업은 개발도상국의 ICT활용 교육 협력 요청에 따라 지난 2005년부터 교육부 주관으로 운영하고 있으며, 시도 교육청과 개발도상국 간 1:1 교류 협력으로 이뤄진다.
이번 사업은 모로코 교사들에게 최신 교육 기술과 자료를 제공함으로써, 최적화된 학습 환경을 조성하기 위해 추진된다. 이를 위해 전남교육청은 지난 5월 모로코 교사 30명을 초청해, 연수 프로그램을 운영한 데 이어 19일부터 27일까지 모로코 현지에서 교원 연수 및 지원 PC 현장점검을 진행한다.
이번 업무협약 연장으로 글로벌 교육 네트워크를 확장하는 중요한 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.
모로코 교육부 관계자는 “전남교육청과의 협력은 모로코 교육 발전에 큰 도움이 되고 있다. 앞으로도 지속적인 교류와 협력을 통해 양국의 교육 수준을 함께 향상해 나가길 바란다.”고 전했다.
