(브레이크뉴스 광주·전남) 이학수 기자=전남도는 30일 율촌제1산업단지에서 롯데케미칼 삼박엘에프티(주) 율촌 공장 착공식이 개최됐다고 밝혔다.
착공식에는 김영록 전남도지사와 이훈기 롯데케미칼 총괄 대표이사, 이영준 롯데케미칼 첨단소재 대표이사, 한명진 삼박엘에프티 대표이사, 서동욱 전남도의회 의장 등 150여 명이 참석했다.
삼박엘에프티(주)는 기능성 첨단소재를 생산하는 롯데케미칼 자회사다. 지난 2021년 12월 율촌1산단 24만 6천871㎡(7만 4천678평)에 1단계 기능성 첨단소재생산사업(2천500억 원), 2단계 이차전지 분리막, 수소탱크 생산사업(2천억 원)을 진행하는 투자협약을 전남도, 순천시, 광양시, 광양경제청과 체결하고 본격적인 투자에 착수했다.
이날 착공한 컴파운드 공장에서 생산하는 기능성 첨단소재는 두 가지 이상의 화학소재를 혼합해 본연의 기능을 향상시키는 제품이다. 준공되면 국내 단일 최대 규모인 연간 50만 톤의 생산 능력을 갖추게 된다.
기능성 첨단소재는 금속 소재보다 가볍고 외부 충격에 변화가 적어 일상 생활용품부터 최첨단 신소재까지 국내외 다양한 분야에서 수요가 증가하고 있어 지속적인 성장이 전망되고 있다.
